People who don't hunt sands shouldn't be given pots. They're really easy to hunt anyway.

What is the best character to hunt for starsands?

They die easily, but I do use sniper to kill them they dont have much hp xD so snipers make them die quick.

You can mob them too, they're aggressive and barely damage you ;D so anything that can mob is fine too xD.

So i can use a novice?

Lol, dunno, maybe ;D a maxed out novice? with equips?

Have fun farming tonnes of starsand with that though XD
